BPF announces Matt Forde as the speaker for the 2019 Annual Dinner
Thursday, 25 July 2019
The BPF is delighted to announce that comedian and TV host Matt Forde will be our after-dinner speaker for the 2019 BPF Annual Dinner.
A former political advisor and now a comedian and radio and TV host, Matt is passionate about football and politics. He presents Matt Forde’s Sports Party and co-hosts The Warm Up (with Jon Richardson) on the Sony award-winning TalkSport and presents Dave’s irreverent look at politics in Unspun.
Matt’s Edinburgh show, Eyes to the Right, Nose to the Left inspired Matt Forde’s Political Party, a sell-out series of topical standup and interviews with the great and the good (and some in-between) of Westminster. Guests have included Jack Straw, Alastair Campbell, George Galloway and Matthew Parris. He even got Tony Blair to talk about his own attempts at standup whilst at university.
A writer for Russell Howard’s Good News, Matt has also worked on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Stand Up for the Week. He has now moved in front of the camera, appearing on Have I Got News for You? He is also a regular guest on The News Quiz and The Now Show. His live show, The Political Party with Matt Forde, mixes topical standup and political debate, and has featured some of the most colourful characters in politics, including Nigel Farage, Alistair Campbell and Michael Fabricant.
Taking place on 10 October at the Royal Lancaster London Hotel, the 2019 dinner has once again attracted over 500 attendees from across the plastics industry. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available for the dinner, to find out more click here.
