BPF Apprenticeship Levy Brief - October
Tuesday, 18 October 2016
The Apprenticeship Levy, set to be introduced from 2017, is a new charge to employers designed to safeguard future skills training. It will apply to employers with a UK wage bill above £3m and will involve a contribution of 0.5% of said wage bill. This money will be invested in increasing the number of apprenticeships and improving the level of training delivered. Please note that the levy is applicable regardless of whether an employer has apprentices or not.
This Brief provides some collated information and guidance around the upcoming Apprenticeship Levy, including a summary of the levy and information for both employers and training providers.
