BPF at Global Summit to Promote UK Product and Supply Chain Excellence

BPF Director-General Peter Davis was a delegate at UK Government's Global Business Summit on UK Advanced Engineering Excellence at Lancaster House on Friday. Our Government took advantage of the many overseas Government officials and company CEOs being in London for the Olympic Games to showcase UK excellence in the Advanced Engineering sector which has annual sales of £200bn.
The Automotive and Aerospace Industries particularly featured, which the Plastics Industry supplies into.
450 attended. The Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg opened the Summit. BIS Secretary of State Rt. Hon. Dr Vince Cable MP and other Ministers were present throughout the day.
Peter Davis said "This was an impressive Summit, cashing in on the wave of goodwill from the Olympic Games, and showing the UK's product quality and supply chain excellence. It also showed the UK as a great place to invest in during Eurozone turbulence."
Peter Davis was also a guest at the Government of Scotland's Engineering and Innovation reception the night before.
