BPF Energy Seminar set to Tackle Efficiency

The British Plastics Federation’s (BPF) upcoming seminar ‘Energy Management for Plastics Processors' on Wednesday 11th May 2011 will feature Europe’s leading expert on Energy Management for Plastics Processors, Dr. Robin Kent.

The seminar is aimed at those engaged in Operations Management in plastics processing and will act as forum in which attending company representatives will be able to access exclusive information and advice to increase profitability, as well as to improve the environmental profile of their manufacturing business.

Philip Law, Director of Public and Industrial Affairs at the BPF said, “The seminar will focus on extensive practical guidance on achieving energy efficiencies targeted specifically at plastics processors. Styled as a ‘boot camp’ it will have a workshop format and will act as a vital forum where attendees will be able to exchange ideas and address their own issues around energy management. Energy is a key cost heading and efficiency measures can dramatically help improve your bottom line.”

Dr Kent is the founder and Managing Director of Tangram Technologies and as an independent consultant, Dr Kent has carried out energy surveys and assessments on over 250 companies throughout the world. In the seminar he will address the overall management issues shaping energy usage in firms, examine the supply of services and provide input into the preparation of Action Plans to achieve efficiency in plastics processing and operations.
