BPF Helps Push Mini Cooper in Dusseldorf

The British Plastics Federation and some of its key members participated in the promotional tour of the GREAT Mini Cooper, when it reached Dusseldorf during the K 2013 Fair, as part of its tour of 16 federal German states. Present at the K Fair event were Ian Mills from Albis UK and Keith Freegard from Axion Recycling. Both companies have supplied materials for use in the manufacture of parts on the vehicle. Representing the BPF staff was Justyna Elliott, Senior Executive - Business Development.

The Mini Cooper is an icon of British design and manufacture. A symbol of the swinging sixties, it is still a cult, must-have vehicle. Over the years, many BPF members have supported its production.

The tour of the vehicle was launched by Princess Beatrice and Eugenie of York on 17th January 2013 and aims to promote Britain as a key business hub and a point of attraction for global manufacture.

Justyna Elliott of the BPF said, "The appearance of the Mini Cooper has set the seal on a highly successful K- Fair for BPF Member Companies and the high morale on the stands resonated with the spirit of all that the Mini Cooper represents for British manufacturing". We launched a Guide to the best of British Plastics at K, essentially telling the world why they should buy plastic related goods from the UK. The arrival of the Mini complimented this.
