BPF Horners Awards 2024 Open

The Worshipful Company of Horners and the British Plastics Federation are accepting entries for 2024 BPF Horners Awards! With previous winners including Suscons, Berry, Coveris, and VarDAR, the judges are looking for innovations that push the boundaries of existing technologies, particularly those with a focus on sustainability.

A brand new logo has been created for the awards to honour the decades-long partnership between the Worshipful Company Of Horners and the BPF:

These prestigious awards are well-known amongst the industry for celebrating plastic innovations and processes developed in the UK which demonstrate commercial potential. There are three different awards available to win:

  • Innovation & Design Award: Any innovation which contains/relates to a polymer (for example: plastic products, processes, machinery, concepts...etc.)
  • Bottlemakers Award For Plastic Packaging:  A polymer based package with closure (for example: pouches, bottles... etc.) This award is not for bottles only - any packaging with a closure is included.
  • David Williams Award: This award is open to products/services which make an outstanding contribution to society (for example, contribute to: healthcare, sustainability, nutrition... etc.)

One entry can be made here to enter all awards, or companies who want to enter the David Williams Award specifically, can do so via here.

Award winners are rewarded with the coveted Horners Trophy and winner’s certificate, an invitation to the Horners Annual Banquet at Mansion House to be commended for the innovation and network with the industry, and dedicated press releases and promotion across the BPF platforms.

BPF Director General Philip Law, states:

“The BPF Horners Awards bring together the best plastics innovations from across the UK. The awards remind us that plastics are the material of choice for modern innovation and demonstrates the strength of British industry.”

The deadline to receive entries for this year’s award is 31 July 2024.
