BPF Launches Enhanced Mobile-Friendly Website
Thursday, 5 February 2015
The British Plastics Federation is pleased to announce the launch of its new website; (www.bpf.co.uk), which serves to project the UK Plastics Industry into the global market. The array of enhancements will help to reinforce the UK and, in particular, the BPF membership as the go-to place for plastics materials, products, technology and expertise.
The project has been in the pipeline for the last year and offers a much needed visual update, as well as being fully optimised for all mobile devices. The purpose of the enhancement is to improve the navigational experience for users, whilst providing easy access to valuable and highly sought after industry information.
BPF Marketing Executive Kim Hawksworth said: “This has been a huge leap forward for the BPF and we are positive the simplified user experience will reflect this.”
The website, which obtained nearly 1.5 million page views and 490,466 users in 2014, features two main benefits. Firstly an enhanced Plastics Industry Directory (http://directory.bpf.co.uk/directory) database, which features over 2214 company listings and 4,921 specific category detailing. There are numerous new ways to search the directory, whilst ensuring Members receive top priority by being placed at the top of search lists.
Additionally the new website boasts Plastipedia, (www.plastipedia.co.uk) the largest online plastics encyclopedia, which attracts a staggering 61,548.25 page views per month. This sub site of the BPF delivers extensive plastics information and is used by both industry professionals and teaching institutions.
Furthermore, the website also provides access to the BPF Shop, which offers over 600 industry specific related books, guides, journals, an online BPF Training platform, a new interactive global map, which provides access to our Exporters Toolbox, and an exclusive Member-only funding portal.
The Exporters Toolbox has been redesigned with a new global mapping system, which serves to create a simple and unique experience for each user and will provide members access to an abundance of global market data.
Our funding (www.bpf.co.uk/funding) search facility which features over 8,000 major EU, Government and hard-to-find regional and local programmes allows users to search through the thousands of grants and soft loans that they could benefit from. The information searched for is updated daily by a team of researchers and is fully comprehensive.
