BPF Launches Inaugural Horizon 2020 Event for 2015

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) has launched its inaugural Horizon 2020 event, in association with Innovate UK (UK National Contact Point for Resource Efficiency and Climate Change), which is set to take place on 20th May 2015 at BPF House, London.

The full-day seminar will give companies a comprehensive insight into the EU’s main funding programme for research and innovation opportunities – Horizon 2020. Delegates will be provided with an opportunity to better understand the policy background, the funding priorities and opportunities for resource efficiency (waste, water and materials), eligibility and participation rules, successful project examples and how best to structure a proposal, as well as being given an explanation of the main priority themes for the upcoming 2016/17 funding calls (to be launched in autumn 2015).

For attendees who wish to discuss project ideas, proposals and gain all important constructive feedback, there will be an opportunity to book individual 1-2-1 session with Innovate UK (UK National Contact Point for Resource Efficiency and Climate Change – Ewa Bloch), and the BPF throughout the day.

BPF Senior Projects Executive Tim Marsden commented that, “This is a unique opportunity for our Members to not only benefit from first-hand detailed information on the H2020 scheme but to also receive critical, yet constructive, feedback on their project ideas. I urge anyone interested in R&I to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.”

The event is free of charge to BPF Members and Academia but also available at the low price of £50 (exc. VAT) for non-Members. For more information, please visit the BPF website: http://bit.ly/1CF4hcQ
