BPF Polymer Distributors & Compounders Group welcomes new chairman

Chairman-elect of the Polymer Distributors & Compounders Group, former BPF President Mike Boswell, officially began his tenure by presiding over the first meeting of the group for 2016, held on Tuesday 8th March.

As managing director of leading polymer distributor, Plastribution, and a previous group chairman, Mike brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, further enhanced by an active and prominent position within the industry.

During the meeting he thanked outgoing chairman, David Viehoff of Ultrapolymers, for his hard work over the last two years, and said of his new appointment: “I am really pleased to be continuing my contribution to the BPF through this group which represents an important sector of the UK plastics industry and one that is highly proactive both in terms of meeting the needs of its members, and also in terms of its broader commitment to the plastics sector including its support of educational activities such as gold sponsorship of the Polymer Study Tours.”

The Polymer Distributors & Compounders Group’s ongoing mission is to maintain a strong networking platform, and to promote and further enhance the polymer distribution and compounding business throughout the UK to both customers and suppliers alike. Through group surveys and regular meetings, the group stays abreast of topics including polymer consumption, fraud risk in the sector and continuity of supply.
