The British Pavilion

The BPF coordinated the British Pavilion of ten companies exhibiting under the British banner. These were:

Networking dinner hosted by UK's DBT

After the first day of the show, the UK's Department for Business and Trade (DBT) team based in China hosted a dinner for the UK exhibitors and visitors to Chinaplas with guests from the Chinese plastics industry.

DBT Deputy Director - Innovation and Industry, Department for Business and Trade, Trevor Lewis, gave a warm welcome to the guests, followed by the BPF's Director General, Philip Law who shared information about the UK-China plastics industry trading relationship.

Visit to Kingfa HQ

The BPF delegates paid a visit to the Kingfa headquarters in Guangdong . The visit was organised and supported by the UK's Department for Business and Trade (DBT) team in China.

A ‘mega compounder’, Kingfa, prides itself on innovation in advanced materials. Founded in 1983 by Yuan Zhimin who is the current chairman, and Li Nanjing, it has sales of 47.9 billion RMB and employs 10,000 people. Its commitment to R&D is underlined by the fact that the company employs 300 PhD’s. Its prominence has attracted a visit from President Xi Jinping.

Kingfa attributes its success to its ability to share in the high growth formerly enjoyed by Chinese business in general, its limited use of distributors and direct approach to the market. The company supplies a wide range of additives, alloys, compounds and composites. There is currently a focus on bio-based materials and biodegradation. In Europe the company manufactures at Wiesbaden in Germany.

British delegates gave a quick presentation on their business and objectives for visiting China and Chinaplas, which was followed by the presentation by Kingfa and a round table discussion.

British Guide to Chinaplas 2025

Printed copies of the British Guide to Chinaplas 2025, produced by the BPF, were handed out during the exhibition. The booklet features listings of the UK exhibitors and details of the BPF Members, comprising over 600 UK plastics suppliers: raw materials, processors, machinery suppliers, recyclers and service providers.
