Could ‘K make the difference’ to your company in 2013?

With the stand booking deadline for K2013 fast approaching on 31st May 2012 are you prepared for the largest plastics and rubber exhibition in the world?

Next year’s K will take place between 16th and 23rd October 2013 in Dussledorf, Germany and is a key event in the industry’s calendar.

In 2010, the show covered a staggering 162,093 sq. metres of the exhibition space and attracted 3,094 exhibitors from 56 countries. The British contingency comprised of 103 exhibitors, some of whom exhibited with individual stands and some as part of the BPF-led UK Pavillion. With reports of a drop in UK exhibitor numbers for the 2013 event, BPF are encouraging industry to secure their exhibition space now to avoid disappointment.

The fair, held every three years, is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries at the 2013 edition which organisers have branded “K makes the difference”.

The exhibition will feature companies from across the worldwide plastics industry including machinery manufacturers, ancillary equipment suppliers, raw materials and auxiliaries producers, plastics processors, semi-finished parts manufacturers, technical parts and reinforced plastics as well as service providers. Aside from its core industry visitors, delegates from other industries along the supply chain including automotive, packaging, construction and retail will also be in attendance.

To showcase UK companies, the British Plastics Federation will be co-ordinating a British Pavillion under the Union Jack flag and a UK village with smaller, more cost effective stands.

If past exhibitor experience is anything to go by, K2013 is not to be missed. Gary Jones, Managing Director of MSA Engineering Systems Ltd, a previous exhibitor as part of the BPF’s UK Pavillion said, “The K show for us fills our order books for the future. From the enquiries that come in, we will be busy for the next three years – visitors from the past K shows are our present customers. It’s one of the most important shows for us.”

With the possibility of grants available through the UK’s trade and investment body (UKT&I) to support British companies in their export initiatives, can you afford to miss the chance to showcase your capabilities at the ‘must attend’ event?
