Get Ahead of Rising Bills This Autumn: Join the BEAS Power Webinar Week

As the evenings draw in and the temperatures fall, many businesses across the West Midlands are already bracing for the inevitable rise in energy bills. For small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), autumn is not just about colder weather,  it’s the season when energy costs can put real pressure on already tight budgets.

But there is good news. With the right support, your business can get ahead of these costs, unlock funding and build a more resilient, sustainable future.

That’s exactly what the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS), delivered by Aston University and partners, is here for. BEAS offers free energy assessments and access to match-funded grants of up to £100,000, helping SMEs take practical steps to reduce energy bills, cut carbon emissions and move towards net zero.

Already, more than 1,800 businesses across the West Midlands have signed up, benefitting from expert guidance and funding support to upgrade equipment, adopt renewables and lower their running costs. Now, it could be your turn.

Why This Autumn Matters

Energy bills typically spike as soon as the colder months set in. From heating offices to powering workshops and production lines, SMEs often face a sharp rise in costs between October and March. Taking action now means you won’t just survive another costly winter, you’ll be putting long-term measures in place that keep paying off year after year.

The BEAS Power Webinar Week has been designed with this challenge in mind. Each session focuses on a real business in the region, showing exactly how they accessed BEAS support and what results they achieved. It’s a practical way to see what’s possible and a direct route into funding opportunities.

This is also the final phase of the BEAS project, so if your business has been waiting for the right moment, this is it.
