Important Notice from BPF: Scam Email Alert

The BPF have been informed that a fraudulent email regarding FX transactions has been sent to some individuals in the plastics industry.   The email is purportedly from our Director General, Philip Law.

Please be aware that this email is not genuine and is a scam. You may notice that it does not originate from our usual email address, which ends with @bpf.co.uk (the email is sent from [email protected] which is NOT a genuine BPF email)

We urge you not to respond to the email and to delete it immediately.

If you encounter any other suspicious activity claiming to be from the BPF, please inform your executive directly or contact us at [email protected]

Hello Graham,

I hope you are well. I would like to ask how you handle your FX transactions. I want to introduce you to a close associate and good friend. (Name Redacted) is the Finance Director at (Name Redacted). They are one of the UK's leading non-bank provider of global payments and foreign exchange service.

(Name Redacted) recently assisted an Injection Moulding company I referred to him save £13,000 on a currency trade of USD5,000,000 to Pound Sterling. After comparing rates between their Bank and (Name Redacted), the difference was an extra £13,000 going with (Name Redacted) rate.

(Name Redacted) has asked for an introduction to you and some of my connections. They can add a positive advantage to your monthly revenue through savings in your FX payments. Will this be something your firm is interested in? If so, please let me know and I will make an email introduction.
