Industrial Plastics Welding & Fabrication

Industrial Plastics Welding and Fabrication Group (IPWAF) represents UK companies with a direct interest in thermoplastic fabrication using flexible membranes, rigid sheet and pipes. Membership of the Group includes (but is not exclusive to) manufacturers, distributors, fabricators, stockists, equipment suppliers, contractors and laboratories. Image

The Mission Statement of the Group is:

To be recognised as the leading membership body representing industrial plastics welding and fabrication.


Aims of the Group

The Group will foster a high level of professionalism in the area of the design, product development, manufacturing, marketing and sales activities of its member firms and the wider industrial plastics fabrication and welding industry in the UK.

The Group will play a constructive role in the development of industry practices and standards for the sector in all spheres of operation including...

 

  • Education, Training and Qualification of Welders
  • Health and Safety
  • Quality
  • Design and Product Development


The Group will foster excellent working relationships with key stakeholders such as standards organisations (BSI, CEN and ISO), the Health & Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and relevant government departments such as Business Innovation & Skills (BIS) and customer industry grouping.

The Group will also foster similar relations with parallel industry organisation in other countries in order to promote cross fertilisation of ideas and best practice.

The Group will seek to identify opportunities for future growth for the industrial plastics fabrication and welding industry and develop plans to take advantage of these and encourage member firms to cooperate in their realisation.


Group Values

IPWAF is committed to a policy of upholding the principles, policies, procedures and ethics of the BPF of which it forms a Membership Group. Its members will endeavour to provide a sustainable and high level of service, support and quality whilst behaving professionally and responsibly.

The Group will provide a combination of experience, innovation, education, competency training and research in all our activities in order to meet the demands of the industrial plastics welding and fabrication industry.
