2008 Horners Award Winner AnnouncedA revolutionary, lightweight and environmentally friendly kerbstone system has been announced as the winner of the Horners’ Award for Plastics Design and Innovation 2008. The prestigious Horners’ Award, run jointly by the Worshipful Company of Horners and the British Plastic Federation, is now in its 63rd Year. The first day will see keynote speeches from Lord Taverne, Chair of the trustees of Sense About Science, a UK organisation which promotes good science in debate, and Wilfried Haensel of Plastics Europe, Belgium. Haensel will present on new opportunities for plastics and the role of PVC.

Following this years inaugural meeting of the Awards Committee, held at the British Plastics Federation (BPF), The Horners Award for 2007 is now open for entries.

EPS DESIGN COMPETITION JUDGES ARE ANNOUNCED

Today, the EPS (expanded polystyrene) Packaging Group announced the judges for the EPS Design Competition. The judges will assist the EPS Packaging Group to select the winning designs to be prototyped and exhibited at Tent London during the London Design Festival in September 2007.
