Invitation to Minivation Fest 2025 – Connect with BCU Engineering Talent

Birmingham City University’s College of Engineering is delighted to invite you to Minivation Fest 2025, a celebration of innovation and collaboration, taking place on Thursday, 30th January, and Friday, 31st January 2025. 

We are opening our doors to local engineering businesses, offering a unique opportunity to engage with our students, staff, and wider academic community.

Event Highlights: 

Thursday, 30th January | 3 PM - 7 PM: 

Join us in a relaxed social setting to network with students and staff. This informal gathering will allow you to explore potential collaborations, exchange fresh ideas, and build connections with future engineers and academic specialists. 

Friday, 31st January | 9 AM - 4 PM: 

Discover the breadth of engineering talent at BCU as we showcase student projects at all levels. Highlights include: 

Foundation Year: Self-powered car designs. 

Year 1: Innovative rollercoaster designs. 

Year 3: Interim presentations of degree projects, Henderson Innovation Seed Fund 2025 pitching contest. 

Postgraduate: Project pitches on cutting-edge engineering challenges

On Thursday 30th and Friday 31st, you will be able to talk to students, alumni, and other companies (Thursday evening is also a social event).  On Friday 31st, we would like you to give feedback to final year undergraduate students about their degree project progress, and to give feedback to other student groups about their project work.
