Join Brunel’s Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm) 2025 Programme

The Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm) programme at Brunel University London helps ambitious SMEs to translate their research and innovation (R&I) into fundable projects, so their solutions can be taken to the market.
This business support programme has helped entrepreneurs to a £2 million slice of innovation investments. Launched in 2022, the RIEm Programme has worked with 75 early-stage ventures to develop innovative products and services, and to teach them how best to apply for funding. The programme is free to participants and the 2025 programme is open to join.
Criteria to join RIEm 2025
• A UK SME with a turnover or investment of £100k with some staff employed on payroll
• A product/service/technology ready for development - described in 100 words
• To have achieved the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 for the proposed solution
• Little or no previous experience of applying for funding
• Commitment to attend the sessions and follow on tasks.

It also helps businesses to get connected with Brunel experts and use their expertise to validate a solution and take it to market.”
Inviting Applications for RIEm 2025 Edition
Brunel University London is now accepting applications for the award-winning RIEm programme’s 2025 edition that will begin in January 2025. To qualify, companies must be registered in the UK, be able to demonstrate investment or expenditure of £100,000 in the previous year, and have an innovative idea in need of funding.
We encourage BPF members to register for this programme to accelerate innovation and secure funding for it. The programme is valued at around £8000.
