LINPAC Packaging wins ‘People Make Performance’ award

Knottingley based LINPAC Packaging has been praised for its staff development policies at the Wakefield First Business Awards, winning the ‘People make Performance’ award and receiving a nomination for the Innovation Award.

The People make Performance Award recognised the company’s commitment to training and development, its staff award programme and Vice President – Operations, Chris Horton’s role chairing the National Skills Academy for Process Industries.

The Innovation Award nomination was for ‘LINPAC Online’, the company’s new customer-focused online ordering system.

LINPAC Packaging’s Head office is in Knottingley in the Wakefield district, and one of the firm’s largest manufacturing facilities is based at Featherstone, also in the Wakefield district.

Chris Horton, Vice President - Operations said: “We are delighted to win the ‘People make Performance Award’. One of the greatest strengths of our business is our people so it is great to have this recognised. We place a high value on training and helping staff to develop to their full potential. This not only benefits the company but also boosts staff morale and makes LINPAC Packaging a great place to work.”

“With our sites in Knottingley and Featherstone, we are very much part of the Wakefield business community. We are always keen to get involved whether it is by entering awards or getting involved in local charitable projects, such as our recent £10K donation to Carleton Community High School after the fire there.”

LINPAC Packaging is a multi-national company specialising in food packaging solutions which meet the needs of consumers, retailers and packers.
