Fantastic turnout at 2025 Meet The Toolmaker

On 27 February 2025, the highly anticipated ‘Meet the Toolmaker’ event made a triumphant return for its eleventh edition. This event, a collaborative effort between the British Plastics Federation and the GTMA, has grown in popularity over the years, becoming a key date in the industry calendar.

This year's edition was hosted at the state-of-the-art facilities of Yamazaki Mazak UK in Worcester, providing an excellent backdrop for the event. The venue welcomed over 25 leading toolmakers from across the UK, showcasing their latest innovations and solutions. The event served as an exceptional platform for plastic processors and other industry professionals to connect with top toolmakers, fostering valuable business relationships and sourcing high-quality tools.

The event saw an impressive turnout, with 270 delegates registering and representing over 150 companies. Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights from a compelling presentation by Bob Barton, Process Innovations Manager at Bespak. His presentation offered valuable insights into the stringent technical requirements for suppliers in the medical products market.

In addition to the presentation, delegates were also given the chance to tour the impressive Yamazaki Mazak facilities. Known globally for their advanced technology solutions, Yamazaki Mazak specializes in multi-tasking machines, milling, turning, CNC controls, laser processing, and a variety of other automation systems. This tour provided attendees with a first-hand look at cutting-edge technology in action.
