EPS DESIGN COMPETITION JUDGES ARE ANNOUNCED

Today, the EPS (expanded polystyrene) Packaging Group announced the judges for the EPS Design Competition. The judges will assist the EPS Packaging Group to select the winning designs to be prototyped and exhibited at Tent London during the London Design Festival in September 2007.

BPF Comments on Interest Rate RiseThe Bank of Englands shock interest rate rise last week has now become apparent by the bad inflation figures released on the 16th of January. The Consumer Prices Index jumped to an 11 year high of +3% in December and the RPI which guides wage settlements jumped 0.5% to 4.4%. Round Table Discussion Held on Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF)

A ‘round table’ on SRF was organised by the Finnish Plastics Industries Federation (FIPIF), the Association of Environmental Enterprises in Finland, and PlasticsEurope, representing the plastics manufacturers in Europe, to help stimulate further dialogue and clarity as the Waste Framework Directive revision reaches a critical stage of its development.
