Bob Lisney, ACP

Bob is a self employed consultant who specialises in providing strategic policy advice and business development to public, private and voluntary sectors.

He is the Chairman of the Government’s expert committee on packaging

Previously Bob ran his own consultancy business, LRL, after a long and successful career in the public sector working  for Hampshire County Council where he was instrumental in the development of the award winning public/private network of 13 local authorities and contractors known as Project Integra to recover and process Hampshire’s waste.

He  subsequently led the council to adopt a new approach in the management of all material resources instead of waste and the resulting strategy has been influential in creating a national debate, broadening the agenda to carbon reduction , job creation and energy supply and security. He is particularly interested in the means to deliver and is thus very practical in developing solutions.

Recently he was the initial director and then programme advisor for a South East project ‘pathway to zero waste’ which was successful in reducing wastes and creating alternative recovery routes for materials.

He uses his wide experience and transformational skills to work strategically with clients that include Government, Local Government, Trade Associations, and a range of private sector companies.

He has chaired charities in the fields of Deaf and hard of hearing, film, and resource management. He is currently a trustee of the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association.
