PFAS and REACH - The Changing Landscape for Fluoropolymers
Wednesday, 5 July 2023
On 19th July, TWI Ltd will be hosting a webinar titled "PFAS and REACH - The Changing Landscape for Fluoropolymers."
Time: 15.00-16.00, BST, UK
REGISTER
This webinar aims to address the possible challenges associated with new regulations in the field. The webinar will provide a unique platform for professionals in the industry to gain valuable knowledge and discuss the implications of these regulatory changes.
Fluoropolymers and related chemicals (PFAS) have been a key component of the industrial world for many years and are widely used in coatings, seals, firefighting foams, cables, release agents and as additives in drilling fluids. However, increasing concerns relating to the bioaccumulation of these materials is driving a more restrictive regulatory framework. Combined with a growth in litigation against PFAS manufacturers the future of these materials is unclear. TWI Technology Fellow Dr Alan Taylor will describe the key elements of this changing landscape and will highlight some of the emerging challenges.
