Help to Showcase Young Talent in the Industry!
Do you have a level 3 apprentice employed in a technical, engineering, manufacturing or design role in the polymer industry who has shown outstanding commitment and achievements? Employers can submit an application for apprentices who deserve recognition here.
The annual Polymer Industries Apprentice of the Year Award is run jointly by the Worshipful Company of Horners and the British Plastic Federation and is now open for applications. It’s a great way to show appreciation for apprentices who have gone above and beyond in the workplace. The award aims to recognise top-performing apprentices in the polymer industry and encourage and support them in their development.
The winner will be invited to attend the prestigious Livery Companies Skills Council Apprentice Ceremony in London 2024 where they will receive £500 prize money, a ceremonial trophy, and an official certificate from the Lord Mayor of London.
Last year’s winner, Kaelan Hurrell of Berry, won the award on merit for his “relentless hard work and determination”. His manager, Toolroom and Tuber Manager Kurt Knights, said “Kaelan’s positive attitude and unwavering resilience has allowed him to overcome and deliver exceptional work, every single time”.
Runner up, Jake Williams of Berry, also received a certificate and a £200 cash prize, for his attention to detail and focus to ensure he understands all the technical aspects of his role.
The fast-approaching deadline for entries is Friday 27th October.
