Productivity Redefined: Competitive Now And Into The Future

Supporting the UK plastics industry compete in a world-wide market, and setting the standards for the a technology driven factorys of the future. 

 
The BPF Productivity Committee was launched 18 November 2020 with their first meeting held online.
 

Vision: 

Through practical commitments and actions, improve the productivity of members in the plastic industry and demonstrate a sustainable and socially responsible sector that attracts funding and investment.
 
Remit:
Committee to address the key issues that affect productivity for member and lead them in the drive towards making the sector a circular economy industry. Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the tools to lower costs, optimise resources, reduce waste & environmental impact, and increase profitability in the UK plastics industry.
 

Objectives: 

To include but not limited to helping BPF members to:
 
Reduce operating costs
Optimise resources
Reduce waste & environmental impact
Increase energy efficiency
Improve competitiveness
Develop staff engagement
Increase profitability
Identify funding opportunities

Webinar Archive: Since 2016 the BPF has been running webinars exclusively for members. Members can view them all online free of charge. Topics include Brexit, Coronavirus, Energy and CCA, Exports & Overseas Markets, Health & Safety, HR & Skills, Innovation, Marketing and Communication, Materials, Testing & Technical, Membership Services, and Productivity. They are all accessible here.
 

REDEFINING PRODUCTIVITY - Competitive now and into the future: The British Plastics Federation (BPF) Productivity Committee was formed to address the critical issues that affect productivity for members and lead them in the drive towards making the sector a circular economy industry. With support from members across the BPF the Productivity Committee is producing a suite of guidance documents intended to deliver lower costs, optimise resources, reduce waste and environmental impact, and increase profitability in the UK plastics industry.

The first guides of this work are soon to be published with more to follow later in the year.
