The ‘Recycled Content Verification System’ (RCVS) is a proposed method by which recycled content can be confirmed and audited within plastic packaging. It was first proposed during the consultation period for HMRC's Plastic Packaging Tax following discussions around fair implementation of the tax. However, a RCVs is not a requirement of the tax. This updated research was written by RECOUP and the BPF to help its members to see the different solutions, schems and technologies available for recycled content verification.
